Sharing in “March of border”

Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has just coordinated with relevant units to realize the “March of border” program 2019, aiming to uphold the voluntary role of the local young people.

The annual “March of border” program has been implemented by the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Central Committee of Vietnam Women’s Union together with sectors, ministries, localities and relevant units in border areas since 2013 with such significant activities as visiting, paying tribute to cadres, soldiers on duty at border posts; organizing cultural-sports exchange programs with them and locals; providing free medical check-up, medicine for locals; realizing “paying debt of gratitude” activities; carrying out youth works in association with the local socio-economic tasks…

Provincial Youth Union also coordinates with provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union and Young Physicians’ Club to organize a series of “March of border” activities in Kien Giang and Binh Phuoc provinces

In March, 2019, provincial Youth Union also coordinated with provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union and Young Physicians’ Club to organize the “March of border” program 2019 in Kien Giang and Binh Phuoc provinces. The program took place from March 24 to 27 with such practical activities as providing free medical check-up, medicine and gifts for people with difficult circumstances…

Particularly, participating units provided free medical check-up, medicine for 100 needy people in Giang Thanh district’s Tan Khanh Hoa commune in Kien Giang province; built a sporting event hall for soldiers at Dac Bo border post in Binh Phuoc district’s Bu Gia Map district; awarded gifts, scholarships to the offspring of soldiers in Kien Giang district’s Giang Thanh district…

Possibly speaking, taking care of people living in border areas is a practical and useful deed. But, for this task getting more meaningful, Nguyen Tan Dat, Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that on this occasion, the organizers were proactive to select outstanding members of sub-unions for alien youths in order to accompany the delegation. They had a chance to visit their families and carry out significant works on their hometown. These activities also helped arouse the pride for glorious history, revolutionary tradition of the nation among youths…

“March of border” was a chance for youths to come to remote areas in need of help from them. This was also a practical activity disseminating national sovereignty over border areas; the Party and the State’s guidelines, policies on religion and ethnic groups, thereby contributing to well realizing tasks on socio-economic development of localities and units.
