“Sharing love with central region” program launched

*Binh Duong’s delegation offers 1,300 gifts to flood-hit people in central region

Early October 22, Tan `Uyen town’s Youth Union launched a program named “Sharing love with central region”, calling on Youth Union branches,  clubs, members and locals to join hands in supporting flood-hit central provinces.

The town’s Youth Union will strive to mobilize at least 200 gifts worth VND300,000 each from the program to assist flood victims in the central region. The program is implemented in 2 stages. The first stage begins from October 22 to 24 while the second one starts from October 25 to 20.

*On October 21 and 22, a delegation, led by Huynh Tran Phi Long, Vice-Chairman of provincial Young Entrepreneurs ‘Association together with provincial Young Entrepreneurs ‘Golf Association, My Chau drug store, donors…offered aid for  flood-hit central provinces.

The delegation donated 1,000 gifts worth more than VND454million to people in Huong Tra district’s Thuy Van, Thuy Luong communes and Phu Vang district’s Vinh Ha commune, Phu Da township in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue. Each gift includes 10 kg of rice, a box of instant noodles, medicine and some other necessities together with VND200,000 in cash. In addition, the delegation offered 300 gifts to people severely affected by flood in Quang Tri province’s Hai Le district. Each gift comprised of necessities, medicine and VND500,000 in cash.

On this occasion, the delegation gave 291 small water filters worth more than VND345million to locals and 20 big ones to some areas heavily hit by flood. It is known that the total value of gifts and money in the relief program was estimated at more than VND1billion.
