Solutions developed to reduce logistics costs for businesses

On Sep 5, Binh Duong Logistics Association held a meeting to collect comments about the project "To reduce logistics costs for businesses in Binh Duong". Attending the meeting were leaders of Department of Industry and Trade, enterprises, associations, and experts of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

At the meeting, Binh Duong Logistics Association's leaders introduced this project through evaluation of the current status of logistics service industry in the province and some neighboring localities. On the basis of aggregating and analyzing information from secondary and primary data to clarify the status of logistics infrastructure in Binh Duong, including the status of ports and ICDs, freight stations; the situation of warehouses and distribution centers; commercial and service infrastructure; connected transport infrastructure; transport services; information infrastructure; define logistics costs for selected supply chains; analysis and evaluation of cost calculation, the project developed solutions to reduce logistics costs for provincial businesses, including the following groups of solutions: Infrastructure development, supporting logistics enterprises, IT applications, human resource development, competition cooperation and regional integration, mechanisms and policies...

At the meeting, Becamex IDC representatives also introduced logistics infrastructure, logistics centers that Becamex has been studying and implementing; advantages of logistic project development of river, railway, and utilities of these projects.
