Some hi-tech agricultural models reach over VND1billion per hectare per year

Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, on January 31, held a conference to partially review the implementation of restructuring of some sectors and sum up some support policies for agriculture in the period of 2013-2018; simultaneously define orientations, tasks for 2019, in attendance of Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

In the period of 2013-2018, the province’s agro-forestry-fishery production value reached the annual growth of 3.5%-4%. The proportion of agriculture as of late 2018 accounted for 3.08% of the province’s economic structure. During its restructuring process, the province’s agricultural sector has focused on promoting safe food supplying chains, organized concentrated production; boosted the use of organic agricultural materials…The whole province is now home to 60 products in the list of safe agro-forestry-fishery supplying chains and so far developed 9 models on safe food chain. The province’s value of agricultural production has reached VND95million per hectare per year. There are also some hi-tech agricultural models with the average income of more than VND1billion per hectare per year…

According to Mr.Dung, the local agricultural sector needs to improve productivity, reach hi-economic efficiency and adjust to climate change; enhance added values towards sustainable development in association with rural economics…
