Start-up assistance – academic playground created for students

Provincial Youth League and Provincial Students Association recently held a review of the activities of the Students’ Association and Youth League of the school year of 2016-2017. Over the past year, the mission and youth movement of have attracted the participation of Youth League members in volunteering, learning, creative activities, scientific research and activities of career counseling among others.

Under the theme of "Year of creative students", focusing on the implementation of the "students of 5 good actions" movement and the program of "students actively integrating into the world", in the past school year, the student movements have achieved many outstanding results, promoting the role of students. Specifically, in the "students of 5 good actions" movement has entitled 300 students and 25 collectives at the school level; internship assistance for entitled students in the movement at businesses in the province, especially working at BIDV, Vietcombank etc.

The activities of building, cultivating ideals, practicing ethics, and student behaviors have attracted 6,492 registered students to participate in online contests in science; 13 scholarship packages of "DTL – Enlightening dreams for Binh Duong students" and 14 scholarships for study promotion have been awarded; more than 700 students participate actively in learning, creative, and scientific researches. The provincial student union has cooperated with Thu Dau Mot University to hold a scientific research student festival in the academic year 2016-2017 with the topic of acceptance and awarding the young scientific talents for 45 subjects; many physical training grounds and cultural and spiritual life have been created and improved.

In addition, the Association also organizes programs for community life such as cleaning the surrounding school grounds; organizing activities for Tet holiday for students and volunteer students in 2017. Especially, the program of "Welcoming the season" in 2017 in collaboration with the Youth Committee of the school Youth Union the organization has helped support 10,000 candidates; volunteer Campaign 2016 summer attracts nearly 3,000 turns of student participants.

During the past school year, many good models of student associations and student movements have attracted students.  In addition, the students’ associations of schools have actively held discussions to exchange academic information; scientific seminar programs on "Solutions to improve the quality of practicing social work for students", seminar on "Career orientation - specialized accounting", "Designing path-finding robots" contest, and "Student programmer Thu Dau Mot University" contest have been organized.

The activities of the Association and the provincial student movement in the academic year of 2017-2018 have been made under the theme of "Binh Duong students build strong associations, volunteer, creativity in learning and training."

Tran Huy Bang of Provincial Children's House said: "In 2017, young people have heard much about business starting, but many are still struggling to know how to start businesses after graduation. Successful start-up students need to be offered opportunities, support, and consulted with ideas and experienced professionals in connection with functional agencies, enterprises and start-up supporting organizations to create conditions for activities of sponsoring, incubating and promoting trade; typical entrepreneurs should be met and listened to regarding their vision and passion."

Many believe that the provincial Students’ Association should soon have solutions to scientific research projects in students and organization of academic playgrounds and exchange activities between students in the province, the most important is career guidance and job introduction for students in the final year and start-up for new graduates; the propagation of changes in society's perceptions on subjects of continuing education, professional secondary schools and vocational colleges should be established.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Secretary of the Provincial Youth League and Chairwoman of the Provincial Student Association also asked its grassroots organizations in the new school year to focus on developing a program of actions so as to intensify the inspection and supervision work while attaching importance to organizing activities on the theme of the new school year with more care for start-up, academic playgrounds and scientific researches. Besides, professionalism of volunteer activities should be promoted to attach importance to the building of associations, and at the same time to promote more creative activities and integration in students.
