The local government and mass associations have organized propaganda activities about the elections of deputies to the 15th NA and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure by many forms, aiming to help ethnic minorities understand and fulfill their obligations.

Cadres of An Binh commune in Phu Giao district make election propaganda among  Khmer ethnic minority people

Nguu Bu, representative of Khmer ethnic minority people in An Binh commune, said: “At the hamlet meetings, we propagandized the election law, the upcoming election day, May 23 among locals and reminded  them to vote on time. We made election propaganda through the local system of loudspeakers, delivering leaflets on the Election Law of the National Assembly and the People's Council at all levels to the local  households”.

With the above ways, most ethnic minorities in the commune are aware of the significance and importance of the upcoming elections, as well as having a thorough understanding of regulations of the Election Law for deputies of the NA and People's Council at all levels. Thanks to being disseminated from communal officials, he and his family members will arrange work to go to the elections early on May 23 in accordance with regulations. Whilst, Nguu Thi Phuong, an ethnic minority worker in the commune, said: “I mainly work at the company, so I rarely have time to watch and read news. Through the local loudspeaker system and officials,  I have understood more about the law on election as well as voters ‘obligations ”.

Many propaganda forms

An Binh commune has strengthened propaganda activities about the upcoming elections to all strata of the people, especially ethnic minorities, thereby contributing to creating unity in awareness, political ideology and action in the Party, consensus in the society so that the organization of the elections will reach the highest results.

This ensures that all people in the commune, especially ethnic minorities clearly understand contents related to the elections. This aims to help people understand that May 25 ahead is not only a festival of all people, but also the responsibility of each citizen in selecting talented and virtuous individuals to participate in State power agencies at central and local levels.

Propaganda contents focus on  provisions of the Constitution and laws related to the election. The local government has also widely propagandized about the purpose, meaning and importance of the elections. Propaganda forms and contents are selected in line with each targeted groups…

As noted, the offices of agencies and businesses located in the commune all have hung propaganda posters on the upcoming elections with contents: “Warmly welcome the election day to deputies of the 15th NA and the People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure”, “On May 23, 2021, voters throughout the country vote for the election of deputies of the 15th NA and the People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term!”…The commune has also specifically informed of standards of the candidates so that people will select the most typical representatives who are  worthy of participating in the organs of the NA and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure.

“With many propaganda forms, people in the commune, especially ethnic minorities have clearly seen the purpose, meaning and importance of the upcoming elections for active participation.  Through propaganda work, the local people  have understood more about wrong behaviors from hostile forces; acts violating the law, causing disunity in the great national unity bloc ...
