Volunteering and sharing

One of the main contents of the campaign that Youth Union at all levels in the province is sharing and helping disadvantaged persons in the province. Accordingly, the voluntary campaign in Thu Dau Mot city took place throughout July and was carried out by youth union members, students of schools in the city. Accordingly, the city Youth Union organized "Red phoenix flower" campaign and social works in Duc Hoa district, Long An province. In this trip, the city Youth Union gave scholarships, notebooks, books, and learning tools to disadvantaged students in Duc Hoa district; At the same time, youth union members, and students joined hands with local people to carry out youth works of new rural construction and environmental protection.

In Di An Town, 100% high schools, vocational - continuing education centers also ensured the establishment of volunteer teams for the campaign. Pham Chien Thang, Di An town Youth Union Secretary, said: “Social work in this campaign was realized by the Union through a project of renovating, upgrading and repairing children's play areas; at the same time, gathering school youth to implement 4 projects of renovating, cleaning toilets, protecting the environment at schools, and organizing 3 playgrounds with the theme "I love science - experiencing creativity" for students. In addition, youth unions of 7 wards also took care of disadvantaged children in lodging houses and passionate classes by organizing jubilant playgrounds and giving gifts... ”

North Tan Uyen district Youth Union also performed volunteer summer campaign through activities of taking care of lonely old people, students, and children in difficult circumstances to help children have useful playgrounds at weekends. Youth volunteer team of schools also propagated to protect the environment in public areas and encouraged students and people to ensure traffic safety.

Diverse educational activities

In this year's voluntary summer campaign, the organization of activities to conserve, uphold cultural and historical values of the nation was also identified as a key task by Youth Unions at all levels. Youth branches in the province organized visits to historical and cultural monuments for students and young people to learn culture and art, tradition and history, and to participate in cleaning, enlarging green spaces at monuments; visits to “red addresses" inside and outside the province for students and young people to study the tradition of the past generation in the struggles against foreign invaders to uphold patriotism and strive to study and work well. 100% grassroots youth unions throughout the province performed gratitude activities, visited heroic Vietnamese mothers and policy families, and revolutionary contributors in their locality.

For education and training, Youth Unions of schools also strengthened training of school-violence prevention skills, social practice skills, and propagation on islands to improve knowledge of students.
