Summer youth volunteer campaign gives priority to on-site activities

With the theme of “Binh Duong’s youths are creative, voluntary for the community”, the province’s summer youth volunteer campaign this year has taken place very animatedly via many practical activities. The campaign has given priority to youth works in celebration of Party congresses at all levels and on-site volunteer activities in celebration of the 11th provincial Party congress.

Noticeably, this year’s summer youth volunteer campaign has focused on the local volunteer activities, absorbing the participation of numerous Youth Union members and social forces. The campaign has been concretized by the “Green Sunday”, “Voluntary Saturday” movements.

Accordingly, provincial Youth Union branches have upheld the role of Youth Union members in civilized urban and new-style rural construction with such practical activities as upgrading rural roads, planting and tending green trees, making environmental hygiene, disseminating civilized lifestyle among Youth Union members and locals…

The Youth Union of Dinh Hoa ward in TDM city has just coordinated with Thu Dau Mot University’s Youth Union branches to engage activities in environmental protection. The Youth Union of Vinh Tan ward in Tan Uyen town has also carried out a “civilized street” youth work to celebrate the success of the local Party congress for the 2020-2025 tenure. The 500-meter work in quarter 2 has a total expense of VND22.5million. The ward’s Youth Union has also cleaned up all 6 quarters in the ward.

Especially, the model of “three-shirt color alliance” between the Youth Union, armed and police forces has brought into full play the local youth strength in upgrading rural roads, in-field canals and recreational areas for children; engaged activities in environmental protection; organizing “Voluntary Saturdays” supporting  the settlement of administrative procedures for locals…

Provincial Youth Unions at all levels have also organized many social welfare activities, including taking care of policy beneficiaries, needy families and lonely elderly people. Particularly, they have provided free medical check-up, medicine for poor people and policy beneficiaries; cleaned up martyrs ‘cemeteries, rejuvenated historical-cultural relic sites…
