Bach Dang isle is an area of ​​over 1,000 hectares and has over 6,000 inhabitants mainly work in agriculture production. Bach Dang commune contributes a unique brand name to Binh Duong, that is grapefruit, which is not only the crystallization of heaven and earth, but also the people, the culture.

Bach Dang pomelos have been well-known and appear almost in every household of Bach Dang isle. Bach Dang grapefruit is rather small, weighs about 1 - 1.3kg, glossy, green and thin skin, has sweet taste. Local people in the commune is tending a distinct kind of grapefruit to confirm the position of Bach Dang pomelo compared with other kinds of pomelo from Dong Nai, Ben Tre, and Vinh Long province.

With 2,000 ha of citrus trees, North Tan Uyen district is one of the leading localities in terms of yield and quality of citrus fruit, mainly in 6 communes: Dat Cuoc, Tan My, Thuong Tan, Lac An, Tan Dinh, and Hieu Liem, with many farms and orchards in accordance with VietGAP standards. The cultivation of oranges, grapefruits, tangerines here not only brings significant income for farmers in recent years but also is a famous sweet, clean and safe agricultural product of Binh Duong.

Bach Dang grapefruit was recognized as a collective brand name in 2011, North Tan Uyen orange and North Tan Uyen grapefruit were recognized as collective brand names in 2017. This has contributed to affirming the value, prestige of grapefruit growers in Bach Dang commune (Tan Uyen town) and North Tan Uyen district, while functional sectors are able to do good management of production, harvesting, consumption process, and product quality control. This is the premise for Binh Duong's orange and grapefruit products to reach the market, as well as is a favorable condition for agricultural development in association with ecotourism development.

Sweet grapefruit

When coming to grapefruit gardens in Bach Dang Isle or North Tan Uyen district, in addition to sweet grapefruits, visitors may enjoy many delicious dishes cooked with grapefruit. These dishes are unforgettable to visitors, for example, Vietnamese salad, sweet soup... with grapefruit.

There is also grapefruit wine, which is fragrant and sweet, good for digestion. Grapefruit is also a product for visitors to understand more about the heart of people here.

With such advantages, the promotion of ecotourism has been accelerated by tourism sector in Binh Duong province as well as local authorities. In order to enhance the introduction of tourism destinations, provincial Tourism Promotion Center cooperated with mass media such as newspapers, television stations, and magazines to carry out programs to introduce and advertise local tourism to domestic and foreign tourists. In addition, the center organized the program "Introducing tourism destinations of the province among youth unions" in Tan Uyen town, combined visits to historic sites, tourist attractions in Tan Uyen town with short tours of grapefruit gardens at Bach Dang Isle.

According to Tan Uyen town People's Committee, in the near future, the town will cooperate with tourism companies to develop river tours from Ho Chi Minh City along Dong Nai River to Thanh Hoi commune, Bach Dang commune to visit national monument Rua Isle, Bach Dang Grapefruit Garden, ​​War Zone D, Vinh Loi War Zone... The town also called for investment and development of models of orchards, especially gardens of Bach Dang pomelo, “don ca tai tu” clubs serving tourists; hosting boat racing festival, grapefruit festival...
