Synchronous infrastructure, policy flexibility for development

Over the past time, Bau Bang district concentrated on improving the local investment climate; mobilized all resources to form up and foster industrial parks, compounds at requirements of investors  at home and abroad; continued strengthening administrative reform…Upon this, the district has reached a breakthrough in mobilizing resources for socio-economic development, raising the local competitive capacity.

Creation, effectiveness

Thanks to having effective policies on investment attraction, Bau Bang district has absorbed many FDI projects with great capital. The district is now home to big industrial parks in operation, namely Bau Bang urban and industrial park and Tan Binh industrial park. There are also 2 industrial parks of Lai Hung and Cay Truong under construction. To date, the whole district has lured 912 investment projects, including 746 domestic investment projects with total registered capital of VND28trillion and 166 FDI ones with total registered capital of US$3.1million. Some FDI projects with great capital include Ampacs International Co.Ltd  of China capitalized at US$50million, Kyung Bang Vietnam Co.Ltd. of South Korea with US$40million, Lacouer Craft Vietnam Co.Ltd. of China with more than US$98million, Singtex Vietnam Co.Ltd. of Seycelles with US$50million…With a strategy “Rolling out the red carpet to call for investor”, the district will further attract more FDI projects.

Le Khac Tri, Chairman of Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee said that the district has strived to become an industrial hub and a satellite city in the northern region of the province, actively contributing to developing Binh Duong into a first-class city in 2020. To achieve the target, the district is expected to develop another 2,300 hectares of land for industrial production and 1,300 hectares of land for urban-service development; build the Bau Bang IDC port with focus on promoting hi-tech and auxiliary industries that are environmentally friendly.

Further improving investment climate

One of keys to the district’s success in investment attraction is the flexibility of the local leaders in administrative reform plus their efforts in infrastructure development. Another thing is that the local order and security are always ensured, making investors feel secure for production-business. Kazunori Uetsuji, General Director of Atago Vietnam Co.Ltd. said that the most impressive thing for the company when making investment in the district was to receive great support from the local leaders. With attractive and open policies, the district will further lure more investors. 

The district has concentrated on mobilizing recourses for infrastructure development, improving effectiveness and efficiency of State administration, tightening control over the quality of works and the use of them after being invested…One of the district’s top targets is to build up the local favorable investment climate, facilitating investors ‘development. The district will also quickly implement and flexibly apply investment policies while step by step forming up a synchronous infrastructure system, absorbing more investors.

According to Mr.Tri, the district will continue asking for functional units to effectively carry out preferential policies on tax, credit, land and human resources for enterprises. The district will also further improve the local investment climate with focus on reforming administrative procedures, preparing “clean” fund for investors; continue making investment in social infrastructure to meet the local rapid urban and industrial development.

To soon become an urban-industrial hub in the northern region of the province under the Resolution of the local Party congress, Bau Bang district has promoted hi-tech and auxiliary industries that are environmentally friendly while creating a favorable investment climate to lure more investors. The district has given priority to absorbing large-scale investment projects in line with the local development plan; restricted industrial development outside industrial parks, compounds.
