Tan Uyen’s sports festival 2017 kicks off

A ceremony to open Tan Uyen town’s first sports festival 2017 was held at the town’s stadium on the morning of May 20.

The ceremony took place with a parade of more than 1,500 officials, civil servants, armed forces and pupils across the town. Many art performance items were also organized at the ceremony.

The sports festival includes 20 events and is expected to end on October ahead. It aims to mobilize people from all strata to take part in the sports movement, contributing to victoriously realizing the local socio-economic tasks while being an opportunity for the locality to sort out outstanding athletes to attend the provincial sports festival 2017.
