Industrial production with robust growth

According to a report released by provincial People’s Committee on the local socio-economic performance, national defence-security over the past nine months, industrial production continued being a bright spot in the economic picture of the province with index of industrial production surging 9.5% compared to the same period last year.

Production of Chutex Company at Song Than 2 industrial park

The whole province now has 28 industrial parks (Ips) of 10,560 hectares with the rate of land tenancy at 771% of total and 11 industrial compounds of 802 hectares with the rate of land tenancy at 62.6%. Over the past nine months, province-based Ips absorbed more than VND1.93billion or 89.1% of the whole province’s FDI capital and achieved more than VND10.3billion or 50.4% of the whole province’s FDI capital. The province is implementing some new, expanded Ips and An Lap-Dau Tieng industrial compound…

In terms of trade-services, the province also strengthened trade promotion and market control, organized 9 delegations to attend domestic trade fairs; coordinated with relevant units to kick off the Vietnam industrial-manufacturing expo 2017 and the Vietnam Woodworking Machinery & Wood Materials Fair 2017…The province’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was estimated at VND118trillion, up 18.2% compared to the same period. Of these, the domestic investment sector grew by 18% or 96.3% of total while the foreign investment sector rose by 24% or 23.7% of total.

Striving to reach and surpass the set targets

The session also put forward 9 major tasks for the rest of the year. According to Tran Thanh Liem, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, authorities at all levels of the province need to strive to reach and surpass the local targets on socio-economic development in 2017; continue implementing the resolutions of the Government and Prime Minister on major solutions to promote the growth of sectors to fulfill 2017’s economic targets; bend on drastically carrying out solutions of the Government’s Resolution No.70/NQ-CP dated August 3, 2017 and provincial People’s Committee’s Directive No.07/CT-UBND dated May 3, 2017 on public investment…

The province will also further organize dialogues with enteprises, build up the local favorable investment climate, create favorable conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises to develop, give priority to absorbing friendly environmentally and hi-tech projects; effectively mobilize all social resources to take care of the spiritual and material lives of people, especially those living in rural areas; realize policies for social policy beneficiary people on Tet and great holidays; strengthen control over food safety and hygiene, monitor and prevent diseases, especially foot-and-mouth disease and dengue fever; set up a plan on market price stabilization on the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2018; tighten over market, prevent smuggling and trade fraud; research and make trade promotion in India…

Also from now till end-year, relevant units must urgently perfect a project on recognizing TDM as a first-class city and then submit it into the Ministry of Construction and the Government’s Prime Minister for approval in 2017; continue restoring urban order and improve problems of encroachment upon safety corridors of roads.
