The new stance of Vietnamese

Update: 28-03-2017 | 11:01:08

After concluding the 7th Binh Duong International Female Cycling Tournament 2017, competing for Biwase Cup, organizers start receiving registration of foreign teams for the 8th tournament in 2018 which shall be started on March 8. After initiating, foreign competing teams have taken their places to have participation chance of a fascinated and large scale tournament in Asia.

To earn such achievements, Biwase has built up reputation for consecutively 7 years, showing up the efforts, images, and prestige of a leading tournament in Vietnam and Southeast Asia for females. At stage 5 of the 7th tournament from Cam Ranh in Khanh Hoa to Phan Rang – Thap Cham City in Ninh Thuan, athlete Dinh Thi Nhu Quynh of Binh Duong Biwase was unlucky to affected by bicycle chain damage; she had to exchange a new bike to continue with the race at the first distance of Vinh Hy mountain pass climbing. It was a pity for her to exchange her bike with team 2 of Biwase not team 1 as registered with the organizers. Thus, the Thai team complains with referees and organizers in a fierce competition of championship.

The organizers and referees met to decide a fine of 2 minutes against Dinh Thi Nhu Quynh and Pham Hong Nhung of Binh Duong PBCV for illegal bike exchange. The fine derived Quynh from her second place of the individual ranking for yellow jacket down to seventh place; thus, failing to compete for higher ranking of Miyoko. Meantime, Nhung was terminated for her exchange of bike. As evaluated by the teams, specialists, and the press, such decision was rightful by the organizers to retain prestige of the tournament built for almost 6 years, which is persuasive to international teams regarding the sense of fair-play and clear-cut response.

Ngo Van Vinh, the permanent Deputy President of Vietnamese Federation of Sport Cycling and Motorcycle, asserted: “For the 7th organization, 10 stronghold teams of Vietnam and 8 international teams of Japan, Korea, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore have made Biwase Cup a large scale tournament of Vietnam and Asia for females. Not only the scale but also the position of female cycling competition of Vietnam have been upgraded in the continental arena.”
