Thuan An implements 7 out of 9 main tasks on environmental protection

Thuan An town has so far carried out 7 out of 8 main tasks of a plan on environmental protection in the period of 2016-2019.

Accordingly, the town organized many propaganda activities on environmental protection over the past time, including holding a training course on the Law on Environmental Protection, the Law on Water Resources; mobilizing people to make environmental hygiene, plant green trees; organizing a lot of contests learning about environmental protection with more than 40,000 participants…The town’s functional agencies also carried out inspection tours at more than 400 cases, comprising of facilities with the risk causing environmental pollution, ones trading in wasted materials and large-scale pig breeding households, with a total fine of more than VND4.7billion.

It is known that after three years of implementing the plan, the town reached some targets as follows: 99.96% of households in use of clean water; 96.1% of solid waste collected and treated; 100% of health solid waste collected; 100% of new investment projects arranged in line with the local planning…
