Thuan An Town Women's Union encourage women’s start-up

Thuan An Town Women's Union established 8 cooperative groups in many fields, such as mushroom growing, garment, trading ... Cooperative groups have attracted a large number of female members, contributing to heightening income, effectively implementing sustainable poverty reduction.

Recently, all levels of Women's Union in Thuan An Town have actively propagated and encouraged women to participate in a startup program through various forms, such as "Women’s ideas of startup" contest; cooperating with Provincial Women's Job Introduction Center to organize vocational training courses; organizing training for the implementation of project "Supporting women’s start-up in period 2018-2025" (Project 939) with new contents and models suitable to the actual situation of each locality. At the same time, all union levels created a favorable environment, step by step meeting the needs for start-up supporting; mobilized financial, human and material resources in accordance with laws, combined resources from programs and projects to support women in starting a business.

In addition, Thuan An Town Women's Union cooperated with local Social Policy Bank to support start-ups, lend loans to grassroots female staff in 10 communes and wards. It was known that in 2018, through the contest "Women’s ideas of startup", Women's Unions of 10 communes and wards made introduction to Social Policy Bank, People's Credit Fund to help women borrow loans, contributing to job creation and savings for poor women with total value of more than 850 million VND.
