During the past week, Binh Duong provincial Election Commission has actively prepared for the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for 2021-2026 tenure. The members of the Committee in charge of each field have carried out the preparation steps in accordance with regulations, especially the organization of conferences to collect comments and the confidence of the voters where they reside for the National Assembly candidates of the 15th tenure and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure.

To promote democracy

In the past week, Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committees of communes, wards and townships have concurrently held a conference to collect comments and confident votes from the voters at their residence for the candidates of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for 2021-2026 tenure. Specifically, at Quarter 6, Phu Loi ward, Thu Dau Mot city, the Executive Board of the neighborhood held a conference to collect comments and confident votes from the resident voters for 8 candidates in the People's Council of 2021-2026 tenure. Similarly, at Quarter 2, Binh Chieu ward, Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh city was held the opinion collection for 2 out 3 candidates of the People's Councils at all levels of Binh Duong province.

At the conferences, voters expressed their joy and excitement towards the candidates for the 15th National Assembly and the People's Councils at all levels for 2021-2026 tenure. Tran Dong, a resident of Quarter 6, Phu Loi ward, Thu Dau Mot city, said that by biographical research of the 8 candidates for the People's Council at all levels for 2021-2026 tenure, of which, 1 candidate In Binh Duong provincial People's Council of 2021-2026 tenure, he found that the candidates are exemplary citizens and CPV members keeping close relationships with local authorities and people, always listening to the people's opinions, caring and respecting the people. Many voters commented that the candidates for People's Councils at all levels for 2021-2026 tenure have met the standards and criteria of qualifications, abilities, morality and lifestyle. They wanted the candidates to continue contributing to their homeland and local sustainable development.

According to Binh Duong provincial Election Commission, as of the beginning of April 2021, the whole province had 16 candidates for the 15th National Assembly, 121 candidates for Binh Duong provincial People's Council of 2021-2026 tenure. Representatives of the People's Councils at district level for the 2021-2026 tenure are 299 elected and 543 nominated. At the commune level, there are 2,394 delegates elected and 4,311 recommended to run for People's Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure. During the period from March 21 to April 13, Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committees of communes, wards and towns in the province will hold conferences to collect voters' comments on those candidates.

Tasks thoroughly prepared

According to Binh Duong provincial Election Commission, the total population of Binh Duong is 2,599,253, of which, permanent residents are 1,118,057 and temporary residents 1,481,196. The total number of voters as of March 30, 2021 was 1,799,245. The provincial  Election Commission has issued documents guiding the voters, reviewing the work, dividing the polling station and guiding the steps of listing voters in accordance with laws. The People's Committees of communes have urgently reviewed the voters and divided the voting area, as of March 30, 2021, in the province it has been planned to divide into 1,100 voting zones.

The preparation of candidacy dossiers, receipt and transfer of candidacy dossiers to Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of the same level of consultation has complied with the regulations. The Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have received and synthesized dossiers of the steps to introduce candidates to the 15th tenure National Assembly Delegation and People's Councils at all levels for 2021-2026 tenure in accordance with the laws on election and the Resolution 41 of the National Election Commission.

Regarding the propaganda for the election, Binh Duong provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 705/KH-UBND dated February 22 on information and propaganda of the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and the election of People's Council deputies at all levels for 2021-2026 tenure. Based on the plans of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of the province and central branches, the Standing Committee of Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee and the Standing Committee of socio-political organizations at all levels in the province have developed plans and instructed the subordinate organizational system to actively propagate the election at its peak in April 2021 to the 23rd of May and after the end of the election.

In general, up to now, the preparation for the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for 2021-2026 tenure has been carefully made. The documents directing, guiding and demonstrating the responsibility and synchronous, regular and continuous coordination of the Party Committee, government and Fatherland Fronts at all levels. However, the provincial Election Commission requested electoral units to pay attention to the review of the electoral rolls as Binh Duong has a large number of people outside the province coming to work and live and those change their temporary places, causing difficulties in making the electoral roll and dividing the polling stations.
