Stable price

The year-end is the biggest shopping season, thus market prices tend to fluctuate. To utilize advantages of leading commercial enterprises, in addition to pledging to sufficient quantity, good quality and abundant categories of goods to serve people during Lunar New Year, supermarkets are also committed to the most reasonable and stable selling prices.

This year, in addition to the method of selling Tet in the retail system of supermarkets, these units also organize many outdoor Tet stalls under the model of Tet stalls with the common identity of the price stabilization program, hanging public listing of selling prices ... In addition, to contribute to reducing overload for shopping in the central area, while helping rural people enjoy the benefits that the price stabilization program brings, Supermarkets also organize mobile selling points at traditional markets, industrial parks, industrial parks, rural areas and northern districts of the province.

Supermarkets also cooperate with local authorities for mobile selling through markets to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas in order to offer a variety of goods and services. People may comfortably shop for essential Tet products without worries about the price and quality of goods. Like previous years, this year, stabilized goods are mainly fresh food, essential food to meet the increasing needs at the end of the year.

Ho Van Binh, Deputy Director of Department of Industry and Trade, said that recently, enterprises participating in provincial market stabilization program set up and registered selling prices for each specific goods group, in which the stabilized prices were lower than prices of products with the same specifications, types and quality at the time of registration. If market prices changes or decreases and affects the production cost structure, enterprises shall adjust selling prices to stabilize the market, and re-register, send their prices to Department of Finance, Department of Industry and Trade. Enterprises are allowed to adjust their selling prices, when the prices are accepted by competent agencies, and the enterprises take initiative in adjusting the prices, notifying functional departments and branches within 3 days after being approved by documents.

"In case of virtual market changes, enterprises must abide by the supply of goods under the coordination of Department of Industry and Trade. Therefore, stable prices is always the leading factor that the authorities and enterprises should pay attention to”, said Mr. Binh.
