To promote Binh Duong tourism

2017 is considered the successful year of Binh Duong tourism. Many recreational activities were organized and attracted a large number of visitors. In 2018, provincial tourism sector will continue to develop programs to exploit available tourism potential.

The number of customers increased

With the goal of developing the tourism sector into one of the high-income non-smoke industries, in 2017, Binh Duong's tourism industry implemented many plans and programs to promote, introduce and bring about good results. Revenue of the industry reached VND1,280 billion, up 6.7% over 2016.

In addition to tourism promotion activities of the functional sector, such as program of promoting and introducing Binh Duong tourism through tourism publications, tourist maps, domestic and foreign tourism fairs and events. Tourist sites in the province set up new types of tourism to meet the needs of visitors, helped to attract tourists to Binh Duong.

Vo Van No, Head of Tourism Management, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that in recent year, tourist attractions in the province offered many attractive programs with good prices; tourism promotion activities also attracted a large number of visitors to Binh Duong, such as the second National Don Ca Tai Tu Festival Binh Duong in 2017 attracted more than 790,000 visitors. Generally in the last year, the total number of visitors to Binh Duong reached 4.55 million, up 3.6% compared with 2016.

Good coordination

In order to develop the tourism industry, in 2018, in addition to updating and posting new information on provincial official website (www.dulichbinhduong.org.vn) about provincial tourist attractions, website of travel agencies, hotel systems, resorts..., provincial tourism will continue to coordinate well with production facilities in traditional craft villages such as Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer, Dinh Hoa lacquer; revolutionary historical sites... to bring visitors to these sites.

According to Nguyen Duc Minh, Director of Provincial Tourism Promotion Center, from the success of program "Introduction to promote tourism destinations in the province in youth unions", the center will collaborate with relevant units to organize tourism programs returning to the source, especially for youth unions, because this is the pioneering force in the development of provincial tourism.

In addition, this year, Binh Duong tourism industry will actively mobilize people to build a civilized lifestyle, friendly behavior in resorts, tourist sites; to be volunteers to welcome and support tourists to participate in tourism events. The province also focuses on human resource training about tourism. "In the coming time, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will promote the training and development of human resources in tourism, training professional management of hotels, guest houses and professional services room, receptionists to improve the quality of tourist services," Mr. No added.
