Tran Mai Huu Quy wins first prize at provincial art stone carving camping festival

Provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism has just held an awards ceremony of provincial art stone carving camping festival in celebration of Binh Duong’s 20-year development and the 2^nd national “Don ca tai tu” (Southern folk music) festival.

The organizers received 78 entries from 50 carvers. As a result, the “Uom mam dat Thu” (Nurturing Thu land) work of Tran Mai Huu Quy in HCM city’s Cu Chi district excellently grasped first prize. Second and third prizes went to the “Dat land” (Good land) work of Mai Ngoc Tuyen from Binh Duong Art-Culture School and the “Tinh ca” (Love song) work of Nguyen Duc Mau in HCM city’s district 1. The organizers also presented 5 consolation prizes to authors who had hi-quality works at the camping festival.
