Urban renovation combined with improvement of civilized lifestyle

Ben Cat Town identified urban renovation as one of the key tasks. With the leadership and direction of the town Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee in this work, agencies, departments, sectors communes and wards in the town actively participated in the urban renovation plan, thereby building and upgrading urban works in residential areas.

Many changes

Currently, transport infrastructure in the town is more synchronous, modern; many new residential and urban projects were launched and completed; cultural and sport works attracted a lot of people coming to play and entertain. In addition, socio-economic infrastructure in communes was strongly invested and completed, bringing practical benefits to people lives in rural areas of the town.

It can be seen that the town's urban construction and renovation has achieved good results. Namely, the system of urban technical infrastructure in the area received complete investment. The town leadership mobilized non-budget resources to invest in developing a number of social infrastructure projects to meet the requirement of urban development and people’s lives improvement.

In particular, the town always ensures synchronous, smooth, efficient, and harmonious development between economic and technical infrastructure with social infrastructure on the basis of well implementing the targets set out in projects of the town Party Committee. 2016-2020 period, such as: New rural construction; improving the quality of urban renovation; developing cultural institutions.

From the beginning of this year, the town has invested in building and repairing 20 rural roads in new rural communes with a total length of 34km, total investment of nearly 100 billion VND. Along with that, the town continued to implement steps of urban planning project; appraised and received appraisal for 8 planning documents of residential areas invested by enterprises; implemented the construction plan of waste water treatment plant in Thoi Hoa ward with a scale of about 6 hectares, capacity of 15,000m3 / day and night.

In addition, the town leadership directed functional agencies to patrol, control, and preserve traffic safety and urban order of inner roads in My Phuoc ward, Thoi Hoa ward, and An Tay commune.

To improve urban civilized lifestyle

Huynh Thu Lap, Vice Chairman of Ben Cat Town People's Committee, said the town was striving to build Ben Cat to be a civilized city, achieve sustainable development towards industrial, trade – service, and ecological agriculture; achieve good quality of living environment, in harmony with nature. To achieve this goal, in the coming time, the town will enhance the mobilization of financial resources from the budget and non-budget for urban renovation and infrastructure upgrading.

In addition, the town will speed up the implementation process of technical infrastructure works on transport, electricity, water, and telecommunications in order to promptly meet the local socio-economic development needs, and stimulate investment attraction. Specifically, the town will renovate, upgrade, and perfect key roads, intersections, bridges, irrigation works of the town, such as My Phuoc - Tan Van, embankments and canals, Thi Tinh river park... Besides, the town develops social works to meet cultural, education, physical training and sports, shopping and consumption demand of the people.

Besides, the town will gradually renovate and build offices and works to serve activities of agencies in the political system in line with the local development trend, meeting the requirements of public administrative reform and urban appearance, forming an administrative - cultural - commercial - service center according to planning. At the same time, the town will continue to disseminate and educate to raise legal awareness for the community so that people know and comply with laws and regulations on urban management and urban civilization...
