With sincere love and ardour, Binh Duong province’s youths have brought warmness to needy children in all parts of the country.

After attending the 8^th congress of Vietnam Youth Federation for the 2019-2024 tenure, provincial Youth Union has carried out the volunteer winter program 2019 and volunteer spring program 2020 in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai. Lao Cai province’s Youth Union is one of units making friend with Binh Duong province’s Youth Union. Since 2011, Binh Duong province’s youths have organized journeys to the northern mountainous province in order to take care of the local needy people.

This year, Binh Duong province’s Youth Union has offered gifts worth VND100million, including blankets, sweaters, woolen hats and confectionary, to pupils at Si Ma Cai and Nam Mon 1 primary schools in Bac Ha district; built 2 playgrounds worth VND70million for pupils at Nam Mon 1 primary school in Bac Ha district and Minh Luong primary school in Van Dan district. The delegation also visited and presented gifts to officials, soldiers at Si Ma Cai border post and war veterans who used to take part in the fight against foreign invaders with people and army of then Thu Dau Mot province.

On the last days of the year, Youth Union branches of the province have also got animated with volunteer journeys, offering help to children remote and poor regions of the country. For example, Bau Bang district’s Youth Union has just organized a volunteer winter program in Bu Dop district’s Hung Phuoc commune in Binh Phuoc province with 200 gifts worth VND60million offered to the local poor ethnic minority people.

Thuan An town’s Youth Union has also come to Cao Thuong preschool and primary school in Ba Be district in the northern mountainous province of Bac Can. The delegation gave 200 sweaters, 200 blankets, tens of thousands of learning tools, 150 schoolbags and 150 gifts, including sugar and milk, for the local pupils. In addition, the delegation provided free medical check-up and children and people with difficult circumstances in Pac Nam district’s Co Linh commune in Bac Can province while offering hundreds of gifts to the local needy children and people.

Truong Van Khanh, Vice-Secretary of Thuan An town’s Youth Union, Chairman of Thuan An town’s Youth Union said that “I love my motherland” is the theme of the local Youth Union’s volunteer winter program this year. Accordingly, the local youths will mobilize organizations, individuals to offer blankets, food and foodstuff, learning tools…to children and people in poor areas; mobilize social resources to support construction of charity houses, give gifts to people hit by natural disasters; provide free medical check-up, medicine for disadvantaged people and children in and out of the province; organize training courses on first aid for teachers and give consultancy on nutrition for parents of pupils at preschools, primary schools…

Nguyen Tan Dat, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that provincial volunteer winter program 2019 and volunteer spring program 2020 will further uphold the volunteer spirit of the local Youth Union members in offering help to people in poor and mountainous regions via many significant activities.
