Well preparing plans for election day

Over the past few days, Di An city’s Election Committee had good preparations for the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Council at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure in the province. So far, all preparations for the elections in the city have been completed on schedule.

Ready with plans

Dao Quy Luat, Vice-Chairman of Di An city’s People's Council, Vice-Chairman of the city’s People's Committee said that so far, the city People's Committee has thoughtfully prepared for the elections. Specifically, the city has established 182 polling stations. The whole city has 493,291 people, including 168,666 with permanent residence, 324,625 with temporary residence. The list of candidates for the 15^th  National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure, the list of voters were posted by the election committees of 7 wards in accordance with regulations in public places, such as quarters ‘offices, the People's Committees of wards, polling stations. The preparation of personnel for candidates for People's Councils at city and ward levels was implemented under the regulations.

Mr. Luat said, the city’s Election Committee has established sub-committees, strengthened inspection and supervision of preparation for the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure, ensuring that the elections will take place closely and safely in accordance with regulations. The city has also got ready with the plan and scenario for Covid-19 prevention and control if there are Covid-19 community infection cases on the occasion of the elections. The city’s sub-committees on security, order and health have also mobilized all resources, carefully prepared facilities to prevent unexpected situations, ensuring absolute safety for the election day...

Election propaganda and Covid-19 prevention-control

The highlight in Di An city over the past time is to associate election propaganda with propaganda on Covid-19 prevention and control to raise people's awareness. Specifically, sectors and localities in the city have delivered 75,000 propaganda leaflets, over 80,000 leaflets on brief biographies of the candidates for the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure to households, laborers. The local sectors and authorities at all levels have strengthened election propaganda by many appropriate forms such as announcing brief biographies and action programs of the candidates for the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure on social networks like Zalo, Facebook…

As noted, the city’s main streets have been decorated brightly with propaganda panels, posters, flags, banners and slogans on the theme of the elections…Up to now, the city’s Radio Station and its branches have conducted over 800 hours of broadcasting on the elections, brief biographies and action programs of candidates so that people can understand and go to the poll on May 23 ahead.

In the coming days, the city’s Election  Committee will inspect and supervise preparation for the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure as planned to request localities to be ready for Covid-19 prevention and control on the election day. The city’s Election Committee has instructed localities, political mass organizations to further strengthen propaganda on the elections, especially among industrial parks, compounds and lodging facilities crowded with workers so that all people clearly understand the purpose, meaning and importance of the elections to vote in accordance with the law, contributing to the success of the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.
