Workshop on cultural heritage and tourism development potentials of islets in Binh Duong and Southeast Region held

November 28 at Bach Dang commune in Tan Uyen town was a workshop coordinated by Binh Duong provincial Association of History and TDMU’s Academy of Strategic Development, namely ‘Cultural heritage and tourism development potentials of islets in Binh Duong and Southeast Region’ which has caught attention and contributions of articles from researchers, scientists, journalists and people inside out including 27 selected articles for publication.

The articles are on 5 major topics of community tourism, potentials, status and solutions for tourism on Dong Nai River, potentials and model of tourism on Thanh Hoi and Bach Dang islets, experience of islet tourism development in the Mekong Delta, and learning models. At the workshop, the delegates listened to presentation of articles on potentials, status and solutions for tourism on Dong Nai River, joint ecotourism products in Tan Uyen, river-way potentials for tourism development on Bach Dang and Thanh Hoi islets among others.

During the discussion, the delegates discussed the development of potentials on Bach Dang and Thanh Hoi islets regarding their challenges and solutions. Within the workshop, the delegates visited some models of cultural heritage on Bach Dang and Thanh Hoi islets of Tan Uyen town.

The workshop is considered as an opportunity for local authority, people, tourism companies and researchers to discuss, identify, analyze, and evaluate tourism resources of islets in Southeast Region, particularly Thanh Hoi and Bach Dang islets of Tan Uyen town for proposals of measures and models for local tourism development.
