Young volunteers’ year: Binh Duong youth remembers the Testament of Uncle Ho

In order to raise awareness and foster patriotism, solidarity, and preserve the Vietnamese cultural beauty, welcome the traditional Lunar New Year in an economical and effective manner, Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee organized the launching ceremony of "Young volunteers’ Year" and meaningful activities to celebrate the Party - Spring 2019.

To meet youth needs

The launching ceremony of "Young volunteers’ Year" and activities to celebrate the Party - Spring 2019 organized by Provincial Youth Union on the last days of 2018 really spread a loving spring to all young members in the province. It was a series of activity to take care of young workers during Lunar New Year 2019. Namely, at the launching ceremony, Provincial People's Committee presented 1,205 gifts worth VND 500,000 each to staff, heads of Young Workers’ union branches, and Youth Union secretaries of non-state enterprises; presenting gifts and cash to 13 young people living in rural areas with extremely difficult circumstances with a total cost of over VND 34 million.

In order to support young people in a practical and effective manner, Provincial Youth Union implemented a program to present airline tickets to outstanding workers sponsored by Saigon Beer Company. It was known that more than 400 airline tickets (routes Saigon - Hanoi, Dong Hoi, Vinh) were given to young workers with outstanding achievements at businesses, non-business units in the province. Tran Van Hoang, a young worker of CCL Label Vietnam, delightedly said: “This is a great pleasure for workers when being supported in air travel expenses. We are really happy and touched by the care from local authorities, businesses and mass organizations”.

On this occasion, Provincial Students’ Association also mobilized resources from socialization to jointly take care of students on Tet. Through the introduction of universities and colleges, Provincial Students Association Secretariat also gave 30 gifts, with a total value of VND 15 million; organizing music exchange program, celebrating birthdays for students in January; presenting lucky money and meaningful Tet gifts...

Emulation movement of following Uncle Ho’s teachings

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Secretary of Provincial Youth Union, said in 2019, with the theme "Young Volunteers" associated with political activities celebrating 50 implementation years of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament with the theme “Binh Duong youth remembers the Testament of Uncle Ho", it was promised that Youth Union at all levels in the province would have many practical and meaningful youth works and programs to show the pioneering role of union members, the youth in economic and social development at their locality and units, and caring for children, youngsters.

Specifically, "The Year 2019 of Young Volunteers” is associated with "Binh Duong youth remembers the Testament of Uncle Ho" on occasion of the 50th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament, and will last until Sep 2019. All levels of Youth Union, all youngsters and children in the whole province will carry out various activities, such as: youth activities according to each content; implementation of youth work following Uncle Ho's words; learning about Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; organizing seminars on the great values ​​of Uncle Ho’s Testament, fostering revolutionary ideals for the next generation; the journey of "Following Uncle Ho’s footsteps", "Binh Duong youth remembers Uncle Ho's Testament", and 60 years of opening Truong Son route.. Activities in "Young Volunteers 2019" will be important imprints in the "Follow Uncle Ho’s footsteps" journey of Binh Duong youth.
