Youths with volunteer deeds

2019 was selected as the Year of Volunteer Youths. Over the past time, youths in Binh Duong province joined hands with the local Party, government and people to make contributions in building civilized urban and new-style rural areas and taking care of people from all strata…

In 2019, provincial Youth Union’s education and propaganda changed very obviously with effective models. Provincial Youth Union also well realized programs accompanying Youth Union members; innovated ways gathering, uniting youths at their needs; took care of Youth Union members via practical activities, including giving them “dream” rooms, houses of compassion, free bus tickets…

One of highlights done by the local Youth Union members last year was to join hands in civilized urban and new-style rural construction. Accordingly, provincial Youth Unions at all levels carried out 8 “lighting rural road” works with a total length of 8.5 km; provided free medical check-up, medicine for more than 1,000 people; upgraded and built 35 houses of compassion; constructed and upgraded 10 playgrounds for children; cleaned up nearly 60km of rural roads, canals…, absorbing more than 30,000 Youth Union members with a total expense of more than VND6billion. They also attached special importance to supporting Youth Union members in the rural region to develop economic models; disbursed VND1.8billion in loan for Youth Union members…

In terms of civilized urban construction, provincial Youth Unions at all levels sped up propaganda on civilized urban lifestyle construction; organized “Green Sunday” programs; established model lodging facilities; strengthened dissemination of information about a project on Binh Duong smart city development…

Provincial Youth Unions at all levels also actively engaged activities in environmental protection; organized many volunteer activities for social welfare, namely “Volunteer winter”, “Volunteer spring”, “Summer youth volunteer” campaign…with a total value of nearly VND10billion.

With contributions to the society, provincial Youth Union, Young Pioneer Organization and associations were honored by sectors, authorities at all levels of the province. Provincial Young Pioneer Organization, Students ‘Association and Youth Federation were appreciated as one of the country’s top units in 2019.

Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union, Chairwoman of provincial Students ‘Association said that provincial Youth Union will continue concretizing the resolutions, conclusions, plans of the Youth Union’s Central Committee, provincial Party Committee, 5^th provincial Youth Union’s Executive Committee; strengthen education of revolutionary ideal, morality, lifestyle, tradition and make law dissemination among teenagers and children; promote “studying, following late President’s Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, lifestyle”; organizes activities to uphold the local youth’s voluntary and creative sprit in national defence-construction, especially focus on activities supporting startup youths; hold youth volunteer movements…
