Get-together marks 42nd anniversary of Southern Liberation, National Unification

*Provincial leaders visit Martyrs’ Cemetery

Early April 28, provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee grandly organized a get-together to celebrate the 42^nd anniversary of South Liberation, National Unification (April 30, 1975-April 30, 2017); the 131^st anniversary of the International Labor Day (May 1); the 127^th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s birthday (May 19, 1890-May 19, 2017). Attending the event were Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly delegation; Pham Van Canh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Mai The Trung, former of provincial Party Committee; heroic Vietnamese mothers and former leaders of Song Be-Binh Duong over periods.

At the get-together, Mr.Nam delivered a speech reviewing the historical significance of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day. He affirmed that along with the whole country, the province’s army and people made contributions to the Great Spring Victory of 1975, liberating the south and unifying the country…

42 years since the southern liberation, national unification, Binh Duong’s Party, government and people have upheld the fine tradition of a heroic land and continued reaching major achievements in all aspects. Binh Duong has ranked second in the country’s FDI attraction with more than US$27billion and is among 13 localities making contributions to the central State budget. Especially, Binh Duong last year ranked fourth in the Provincial Competitiveness Index.

On this occasion, 1,138 Party members were presented or presented posthumously with the Party insignias. At the get-together, provincial Party Committee awarded the Party insignias to Nguyen Hoang Son, former Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Thi Dao, former Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc provincial Women’s Union and Le Van Khoa, former General Director of Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd.

Mr.Nam and Mr.Canh also awarded the first-Labor Medals of the State President to Huynh Van Nhi, former Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; the second-Labor Medal of the State President to Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

*Prior to that, a delegation of leaders from provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee, People’s Council and Fatherland Front Committee also held a ceremony to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs at provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery on the occasion of the 42^nd anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Unification (April 30, 1975-April 30, 2017), the 127^th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s birthday (May 19, 1890-May 19, 2017).

In a solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, provincial leaders laid wreaths and offered incense in commemoration of heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national liberation and independence.
