Binh Duong Provincial Investment and Development Fund celebrates 20th anniversary and receives Second-class Labor Medal

On May 17, Provincial Investment and Development Fund (BDIF) celebrated its 20th anniversary and received the Second-class Labor Medal. Participant was Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of BIDF Management Council.

On behalf of the President, Mr. Liem awards second-class Labor Medal to BDIF leaders.

In 1999, Provincial People's Committee established BDIF to create a financial tool for local government to implement policies to mobilize social capital, transform from allocation to lending and direct investment in projects according to the province's socio-economic development objectives and strategies. Over 20 years, BDIF continuously fulfilled the planned targets assigned by the province, operated its activities in accordance with the objective not for profit, preservation and development of operating capital, in accordance with socio-economic development requirements in the province.

Speaking at the celebration, Mr. Liem appreciated achievements of BDIF. Over 20 years, the Fund gradually adapted, transformed and synchronized its operation model. The projects of this Fund proved its meaning to serve practically people's lives, thereby creating a positive and more effective change in the field of capital mobilization and investment, meeting the socio-economic development requirements in the province.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the President, Mr. Liem awarded second-class Labor Medal to BDIF. In addition, the Prime Minister awarded certificate of merit to Le Hoang Minh, Director of BDIF, and Phan Van Chien, Deputy Director of BDIF, for their dedication to BDIF.
