Province mark 86th founding anniversary of the Youth Union

*Outstanding Youth Union officials and young talents honored

On the evening of March 26, provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee held a program to celebrate the 86^th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931-March 26, 2017) at Di An town’s administrative center. Attending the event were Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly delegation; Nguyen Huu Tu, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Public Relations, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of provincial People’s Committee, sectors, departments together with numerous Youth Union members in the province.

Delegates and Youth Union members reviewed the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in general and provincial Youth Union in particular during the past 86 years. Over the past time, young people in the province were ardent to emulate and realize two revolutionary action movements “Volunteering in socio-economic development and national defence” and “Accompanying youths in establishing themselves up in business and their position in life”. Many other practical movements, namely “Youths joining hands in new rural construction”, “Youths taking part in building civilized urban areas”…were also promoted.

Also during the program, provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee in collaboration with provincial Young Talent Fund’s Management Board awarded the provincial “Young talent” Award 2017 to 5 individuals. Provincial Youth Union presented provincial “Excellent Youth Union official” Award 2017 to 6 individuals and the provincial “Outstanding Youth Union secretary” Award 2017 to 10 individuals; honored 19 individuals and 19 collectives with excellent achievements after 30 days of peak emulation in celebration of the Party and Lunar New Year 2017 and the 20^th anniversary of the province’s reestablishment…

Addressing the program, Mr.Tu hailed achievements done by provincial Youth Union over the past time. Tasks for youths in the province in the coming time are very severe and also very glorious. Accordingly, he required provincial Youth Unions at all levels to take appropriate methods in order to brace up youths to get involved in movements; attach special importance to education of ideology, morals and lifestyle; further promote the campaign of “Vietnamese youths study and follow Uncle Ho’s teachings” in association with the Politburo’s Directive No.05; create a breakthrough in uniting and gathering youths…
