Provincial leaders welcome Singaporean enterprises, Malaysian Consul General in HCM city

Early June 25, Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee,  Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation received Kent Lim, Director of Winstar, representative of Singaporean enterprises that want to make investment cooperation with the province.

At the reception, Mr.Nam applauded Singaporean enterprises making investment in the province and affirmed that the province has always created the best conditions for enterprises to work effectively. The province has bent on attracting hi-tech projects that are less labor intensive and more environmentally friendly. Additionally, the province will say ok to enterprises that want to build hi-tech and environmentally friendly industrial parks. The province has so far zoned a hi-tech industrial park, absorbing hi-tech projects and created “clean land” fund for industrial and hi-tech agricultural development while making investment in traffic infrastructure facilities and logistic services to facilitate enterprises’ goods transportation.

Mr.Kent Lim also thanked provincial leaders for their efforts in generating the best conditions for enterprises to develop. The province is now an ideal destination for investors and there are some partners of Winstar with a desire of making investment cooperation with the province in the domains of finance, logistics, construction…

*The same day, Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee welcomed outgoing Consul General of Malaysia in HCM city Sofian Akmal Abd.Karim who came to bid farewell to provincial leaders.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Hung thanked Mr. Sofian Akmal Abd.Karim for his fine sentiment to the province while affirming the fine relationship between Vietnam and Malaysia. The province has so far attracted 94 Malaysian-funded projects with total investment of more than US$811million.

Sofian Akmal Abd.Karim, for his part, said that the province is a potential market for Malaysia while hoping that the two sides will organize more cooperation and friendship activities.
