Provincial Women’s Union, Labor Union mark 87th anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Union

Early October 20, provincial Women’s Union held a get-together to mark the 87^th anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Union (October 20, 1930-October 20, 2017) and the 7^th anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20, 2010-October 20, 2017). Attending the event were Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Education and Propaganda, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Minh Thuy, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission; Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People’s Council.

At the get-together, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women over periods. In any period, Vietnamese women have always deserved to the eight golden words of “heroism, undauntedness, loyalty and responsibilities” presented by Uncle Ho. Upholding this tradition, the province’s women over the past time made efforts to surmount difficulties; were flexible, creative and active in taking part in patriotic emulation movements launched by sectors, authorities at all levels, especially the emulation movement of “Women actively study, creatively work and build up happy families”. In the 2015-2020 tenure, there have been nearly 25% of female officials participating in district/town/city-level Party executive committees. Provincial Women’s Unions at all levels have also developed effective models, namely “Building families with 5 No-s and 3 Clean-s”, “Building the image of women with “self-confidence, self-esteem, faithfulness and resourcefulness”…, at requirements of the national industrialization and modernization. Through studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle”, there have been more and more outstanding women in all aspects.

Speaking at the get-together, Mr.Liem acknowledged and praised achievements done by officials and members of provincial Women’s Union. He also suggested provincial Women’s Unions at all levels to further improve the quality of emulation movements; be proactive to advise Party organizations on training and recommending qualified individuals to managerial positions…

On this occasion, 3 members of provincial Women’s Union were awarded the certificates of merit of Prime Minister.

At the get-together, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women during the past 87 years. Upholding this tradition, the province’s female civil servants and workers made active contributions to the local socio-economic development. Trade Unions at all levels of the province launched many emulation movements, namely “Women with two good performances”, “Women actively study, creatively work and build happy families”, absorbing the participation of more than 1,000 trade union locals with 40,000 members. Many women became typical examples in the emulation movement of “Working well, working creatively” with initiatives, bringing benefits to enterprises. Many other practical activities were also organized, helping the local women rise up and stabilize their lives.
