Provincial Youth Union offers gifts to ethnic minority pupils in Lao Cai

Early January 13, a delegation of provincial Youth Union, led by Nguyen Tan Dat, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union, had an exchange with more than 500 pupils at Ta Thang primary school in Muong Khuong district’s Ta Thang commune in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai under the “Winter volunteer” program.

On this occasion, the delegation donated 2 “recreational playground” works (photo), 70 gifts, including warm coats, blankets and scholarships worth VND35million to the local ethnic minority pupils.

Earlier, the delegation visited soldiers at Pha Long border post and heroes, martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the struggle defending our northern borders. The delegation also awarded 20 scholarships to ethnic minority pupils with difficult circumstances at Pha Long primary school and necessities to teachers at school points.
