The provincial People's Committee approved a scheme to establish Di An and Thuan An cities and 4 wards in Tan Uyen town

In the afternoon of June 25, the provincial People's Committee held the 18th meeting through the contents of the provincial People's Council meeting of mid-2019. Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

Overview of the meeting

The meeting has approved the Proposal and the draft Resolution proposing to approve the Scheme on establishment of Thuan An and Di An cities and the Scheme to establish 4 wards: Hoi Nghia, Vinh Tan, Phu Chanh and Tan Vinh Hiep under the town. Tan Uyen. Thuan An and Di An towns currently meet 5/5 standards of establishing provincial cities in terms of population size, natural area, attached administrative units, recognized as grade-III urban centers. and socio-economic development level. The establishment of Thuan An and Di An cities under the province on the basis of changing the status quo of the area, administrative boundaries and population of the two towns is objective and necessary, meeting the management task in time. State management, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, creating momentum for local development. The societies of Nghia Nghia, Vinh Tan, Phu Chanh and Tan Vinh Hiep have now met the requirements of the criteria of grade III urban areas; balance budget revenues and expenditures; no poor households in 3 years 2016, 2017, 2018; the rate of non-agricultural labor is over 70%, meeting all conditions for establishing a ward according to regulations. The meeting also considered approving the Proposals and draft Resolution: Regulating the content and level of support for industrial promotion activities in the province; prescribing contributions, exemption, reduction and support regimes for drug addicts for compulsory detoxification and support levels for voluntary detoxification in the province; support regime for commune veterinarians in the province; adjust and supplement the list of construction projects to be acquired in 2019.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem basically agreed with the contents of the Proposals and drafted the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council in the next session.
