48 cases related to Covid-19 infection in Da Nang under quarantine

According to provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, the province’s health sector has monitored and discovered additional 48 cases related to Chinese experts with Covid-19 infection in Da Nang city through the local medical surveillance system.

These cases belong to Dot Chiu Joint Stock Company in Ben Cat town’s An Tay commune. Prior to that, from April 29 to May 1, the company took its staff to Da Nang city in order to play and stay at Muong Thanh Hotel, No. 270, Vo Nguyen Giap street, Da Nang city. This location was announced by the Ministry of Health in the Emergency Notice No. 38 to find people to the locations of Covid-19 patients.

Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s rapid response teams have coordinated with Ben Cat town’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control to continue making epidemiological investigation. On the night of May 4, the morning of May 5, the town sprayed disinfectant at Dot Chiu Joint Stock Company, consulted provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control to put cases in concentrated quarantine, took sample for test and are waiting for test results.
