Action month for gender equality, prevention of gender-based violence launched

TDM city’s People’s Committee yesterday held a ceremony to launch the Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention of Gender-Based Violence 2017.

This year’s action month under the theme of "Joining hands to end violence against women and girls” aims at calling for attention and participation of relevant organizations and individuals in promoting gender equality and eliminating violence against women and girls.

Over the past time, the city’s gender equality for the advancement of women was implemented widely and deeply with numerous activities, creating favorable conditions for the local women to rise up in learning, working and building up well-off, equal, advanced and happy families; actively take part in activities on all aspects of social life.
