Administrative penalties imposed on those who post false information to offend the reputation of agencies and organizations

On the afternoon of July 28, inspectorate of Provincial Department of Information and Communications coordinated with People's Committee of My Phuoc Ward (Ben Cat Town) to impose an administrative sanction decision of VND 7.5 million on V.T.L (born 1991).

Accordingly, at 6.00 a.m., on July 19, while the police of My Phuoc ward collaborated with local administration were patrolling and checking the implementation of Directive 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister, V.T.L. took three photos and posted on her personal Facebook page with a content offending the reputation of agencies and organizations. After checking the above information was fabricated and untrue, causing confusion among the people, affecting the prevention and control of the epidemic, My Phuoc ward police made a record of this administrative violations and submitted it to the authorities to issue a penalty decision and fine an amount of VND 7.5 million, according to Point a, Clause 1, Article 101, Decree 15/2020/ND-CP of the Government dated Feb 3rd 2020 on Regulations on administrative sanctions in fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology and electronic transactions.

At People's Committee of My Phuoc Ward, V.T.L. confessed her wrongdoing, deleted the false information and pledged not to repeat this action.
