Binh Duong will have a Disease Control Center

Doctor Huynh Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of Department of Health, said that on 1 Jul 2009, Binh Duong would officially open a Center for Disease Control.

Provincial Disease Control Center was established on a merger of 3 centers, including: Provincial Preventive Medicine Center, Provincial Center for Health Education and Communication, and Provincial Center for Social Disease Prevention and Control. Disease Control Center’s establishment wa approved by Provincial People's Committee as a public health service unit under Department of Health. Provincial Disease Control Center has the function of advising and organizing the implementation of professional, technical, and professional activities on the prevention and control of infectious diseases; non-infectious diseases; preventing and combating impacts of risk factors affecting people health; community health management; detecting, preventive treating, and other medical services in accordance with professional fields as prescribed by law.
