Get-together marks VWU’s 90th founding anniversary

Early October 20, provincial Women’s Union held a get-together to mark the 90^th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) (October 20, 1930-October 20, 2020) and the 10^th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Day.

The event was attended by Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Minh Thuy, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission together with leaders of departments, sectors in the province; the People’s Armed Force Heroes; former leaders of provincial Women’s Union over periods.

At the event, delegates reviewed the development and history of the VWU during the 90 past years. Provincial Women’s Union also congratulated women aged at more than 80 on their longevity; introduced women’s startup projects and showed communication video clips on social issued relating to women. The “Shine of the virtue” book co-composed by provincial Women’s Union and the Club of female resistance fighters was also introduced at the event to honor Binh Duong’s women during the resistance period.

On this occasion, provincial Women’s Union awarded the certificates of merit of the Prime Minister to Nguyen Thi Tham in North Tan Uyen district, the certificate of merit of the Central Committee of the VWU to women of provincial People’s Court; held the awards ceremony of the online writing contest “Good head of Women’s Union branch” and the contest “Communication video clips on social issues relating to women” in 2020.
