Healthcare database connected at 100% of health insurance clinics

Binh Duong provincial Department of Health has recently issued various directive documents to guide the application of IT into health insurance examination. Up to date, 100% of health insurance clinics in th province have connected to medical insurance examination database, fully updated standard software, ensured data extraction and inter-connection with Ministry of Health and Vietnamese Social Insurance.
An unnamed representative of Department of Health informed that the connection is to supervise and implement payments for patients having medicial insurance cards. Aside from medical insurance examination database connection, Binh Duong provincial Department of Health has also updated medicine management software, accounting and staff management applications to basically satisfy the current managerial and practical requirements of the sector. 
However, Binh Duong provincial Department of Health evaluated that the IT application into healthcare has been insufficient, especially the legal documents, resources and facilities that require upgrade and refinement to meet the demands for electronic data connection. In the meantime, the construction of national database of social insurance is limited in terms of connection, inter-connection, database sharing; thus, requiring medical staffs to follow plenty of procedures with repeated reporting processes.
