Over VND9.8trillion mobilized for new-style rural construction

Under the national target program on new-style rural construction, Dau Tieng district over the past 10 years upgraded 221 streets with a total length of more than 405km and built 6 streets. The district’s communes also upgraded 216 rural roads. So far, there have been over 95% of district-level streets covered by asphalt, 100% of communal-level streets upgraded with gravel…

The average income of the local people has reached VND56million per person per year. The rate of laborers with regular jobs has obtained more than 97%. The rate of poor households under the province’s poverty line has reduced to 0.58%. The total capital for the district’s new-style rural construction program since 2010 has achieved more than VND9.8trillion, including more than VND4.23trillion from enterprises and more than VND909trillion from people.

Implementing the national target program on advanced new-style rural construction under provincial People’s Committee’s Decision No.1925/QD-UBND dated July 16, 2018, An Thanh has been recognized as an advanced new-style rural commune. Five communes, namely Dinh Thanh, Dinh Hiep, Long Tan, Thanh Tuyen and Long Hoa, are striving to fulfill all 19 criteria of the advanced new-style rural construction program. The remaining communes will also try to complete these criteria in May, 2020. It is expected that the district will be recognized as an advanced new-style rural district in 2020.
