Province marks Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day- Day of “returning to the root”

Early November 22, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DoCST) held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day- Day of “returning to the root” (November 23) at Thuan An Hoa war zone relic site, in attendance of leaders of provincial sectors, departments together with more than 200 pupils and Youth Union members in Thuan An town.

At the ceremony, delegates together with the local Youth Union members and pupils offered incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at the monument of the relic site; visited a museum of the relic site and watched photos on cultural heritages in the province…

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr.Hai, Deputy Director of provincial DoCST said that the whole country now has more than 4,000 historical-cultural relics and beautiful landscapes. In Binh Duong alone, there are 12 relics at national level and 40 at provincial level. The province is restoring the D war zone, Phu Loi Prison historic relic, “Tam giac sat” tunnel, Thuan An Hoa war zone relic, Ho Lang base…

It is known that on the annual Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day- Day of “returning to the root”, provincial DoCST organized practical activities to make dissemination of information about the significance of the nation’s cultural heritage values among people from all strata. This contributed to promoting a task of preserving and upholding the values of cultural heritages of Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular.
