Substandard cosmetics recalled

Drug Administration Department under Ministry of Health has sent a letter about the suspension of circulation, recalling of cosmetics that do not meet quality standards. Accordingly, Binh Duong provincial Department of Health demanded medical units in the province to suspend and recall cosmetic batch of "SK8 Nano Whitening Nourishing Body Cleanser" imported and put on market by Frecos Asia Trade and Production Joint Stock Company. Reason for recall: The test sample did not meet microbiological limit requirements specified by ASEAN Cosmetic Association.

In addition, Drug Administration Department also requested to suspend the circulation and recall IQ Vitamin E whitening melasma cream (IQ Vitamin E whitening melasma cream) produced by Vuong Kim Long Production and Trading Company. Product testing sample did not meet quality requirements of heavy metal limit in cosmetics.
