Tan Uyen implements Action Month for Food Safety

On the afternoon of April 14, Tan Uyen town implemented the 2021 Action Month for Food Safety.

Bui Van Tien, Head of the town’s Department of Health said that the 2021 Month of Action for Food Safety is the highlight to launch a communication campaign to comply with regulations on food safety in producing, trading and advertising food, thereby minimizing violations on food advertisement; proactively preventing food pollution, minimizing food poisoning, especially collective food poisoning cases from using unsafe food products. During the action month,  the town’s functional forces will step up inspection over food safety at food producing, trading and advertising establishments; strengthen supervision and post-check activities in key areas; raise awareness and responsibility of organizations and individuals withn food producing and trading activities in order to protect consumers’rights and interests.

Through the peak food safety inspection, the town’s functional sectors will promptly detect and correct shortcomings in State management over food safety; detect, prevent and opportunely handle infringments on food safety while proposing solutions to improve the efficiency of food safety assurance in the locality.

It is known that this year’s Action month for food safety will take place from April 15 to May 15.
