Procession of Thien Hau Lady's palanquin attracts numerous locals and tourists

On the afternoon of January 30 (on January 9 of lunar calendar), the Executive Board of Binh Duong Thien Hau Lady Temple at the 2^nd facility in Thu Dau Mot city’s Hoa Phu ward coordinated with relevant units to organize the Thien Hau Lady palanquin procession 2023.

The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People's Council and representatives of provincial departments, agencies, leaders of Thu Dau Mot city.

The Thien Hau Lady palanquin procession is one of the Thien Hau Lady Temple festival, which takes place on the 15^th day of lunar January every year. According to the local customs, the Thien Hau Lady palanquin procession will take place on the 15^th day of lunar January at the first facility of Thien Hau Lady temple in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Cuong ward. However, after the 2^nd facility of Thien Hau Lady temple was established in Hoa Phu ward, the Thien Hau Lady palanquin procession is annually carried out at the 2^nd facility 2 on January 9 of lunar calendar.

Accordingly, the Thien Hau Lady palanquin procession at the 2^nd facility officially began at 4 p.m. Thien Hau Lady’s palanquin was carried through the main roads around the area of ​​provincial Administration Center. This year's Thien Hau Temple palanquin procession attracted a large number of the local people and tourists. They gathered in large groups along the two sides of the roads to admire Thien Hau Lady’s palanquin, pray for good things and enjoy performance items by unicorn, lion and dragon troupes...
