Consuming and service revenue of January 2023 near VND 25,000

The leader of Binh Duong provincial Statistics Office said that the estimated total retail sales of consumer goods and services in January 2023 reached VND 24,964 billion, increasing by 5.4% over the previous month.

The positive signal of the market shows that demand has been back to increasing trend, reflecting the stable life of people with retail sales of goods in January 2023 of VND 17,395 billion, accounting for 69.7% of the total and 5.4% higher over the previous month and 16.9% over the same period. In which, the number of items for Tet service increased more than usual such as food of VND 6,284 billion, apparel VND 869 billion, and household appliances VND 2,958 billion. Revenue from accommodation, catering and travel services was estimated at VND 2,293 billion, increasing by 15.5% over the same period. Service revenue was estimated at VND 5,275 billion, increasing by 1.4% over the previous month and 8.7% over the same period. Some service industries also had positive recovery signals at a good level such as real estate services at 10.3%, medical services and social assistance activities 9.4%, and service arts and entertainment 9.1%.
