Binh Duong accompanies enterprises in production recovery

Early September 21, Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired a dialogue with partners of Adidas Group.  The event was attended by leaders of a number of departments, sectors in the province, Adidas Group’s leader in charge of supply in Southeast Asia and representatives of 23 garment and footwear enterprises in the province at provincial Exhibition and Convention Center.

At the conference, representatives of the above enterprises presented plans on production-business recovery and some specific proposals. These enterprises also shared with difficulties of Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular before the impact of Covid-19 pandemic while thanking provincial leaders for creating favorable conditions for them in Covid-19 prevention and control. However, the pandemic has made supply chains be disrupted and the "3 spot" production model is not suitable to a labor-intensive industry like garment industry. Representative of Adidas Group wanted that the province will gradually open up so that enterprises can restart production on the basis of strictly implementing Covid-19 prevention and control measures. In addition, representatives of enterprises at the dialogue proposed the province to speed up Covid-19 vaccination for workers; support enterprises in conducting Covid-19 testing and quickly handling F0 case if any; assist enterprises to resume through financial support packages…

Concluding at the dialogue, Mr. Dung emphasized that in all stages, Binh Duong has always identified the development of enterprises as the development of the province. Provincial leaders have always accompanied enterprises in production-business activities. He also spoke highly of the above enterprises ‘plans on production-business recovery while saying that the province has issued a plan on gradual socio-economic recovery in the new normal state. Accordingly, enterprises’ roadmap for reorganization of production and business will be applied in 3 phases with respective percents at 30%, 50% and 70%. On that basis, he has assigned provincial Industrial Parks’Management Board, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Health, and localities to further exchange with enterprises about production recovery, remove enterprises’difficulties in line with the local conditions, helping them resume with Covid-19 prevention and control requirements ensured.
