Update: 14-01-2022 | 12:24:00

In recent days, the number of Covid-19 cases in the province has decreased sharply. From the daily number of 6,000 cases in July 2021, the province has only recorded the daily number of 75 cases. Along with the local strategy of reducing F0 cases, the province has also made a list of high-risk cases for care and monitoring.

F0 cases in community decreasing sharply

Statistics show that over the past month, the situation of the pandemic in the province has tended to decrease obviously and stably. From December 2021, the daily number of Covid-19 cases in the province was more than 600. The province has so far recorded the daily number of about 50 Covid-19 cases. Over the past 10 days, the number of new cases through PCR testing was 639. The province only recorded less than 50 Covid-19 cases in some days. Dr.Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of provincial Department of Health said: “In recent days, the number of Covid-19 cases in Binh Duong has decreased sharply, falling from the daily peak of 6,000 cases in July 2021 to the daily number of 75 cases at present. In some days, the number of cases in the province dropped sharply to 25. The number of new cases in the province decreased while the number of recoveries increased every day. The number of deaths also decreased. These figures show that the province’s Covid-19 prevention and control have so far achieved remarkable results. The province has also been on the right track in anti-epidemic work."

Dr. Nguyen Hong Chuong also affirmed that this result brings hope about the turning point of the province in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic. The province's daily number of infections is a real report. Referring to the cause of the sharp decrease in the number of Covid-19 cases, he explained: "This is the overall integration of solutions when Binh Duong has drastically deployed "Safe adaptation, flexibility, effective control of Covid-19 pandemic”. In addition, people in many places have also raised their awareness of pandemic prevention and control, strictly following the instructions of the Ministry of Health on wearing face masks, washing hands with disinfectants, making health declarations, social distancing…, making the efforts by the province in Covid-19 prevention and control upholding their efficiency. Another important factor that contributes to reducing the rate of Covid-19 infection is the province’s effective implementation of mass vaccination against Covid-19 for the people, especially the elderly, those with underlying diseases…

Making list of high-risk cases

In a safe adaptation situation, one of the most important goals is to reduce the number of Covid-19 deaths. As analyzed, the number of Covid-19 deaths in the province has focused on risk groups: people with underlying diseases and those aged over 50. Facing the above situation, the province has implemented a campaign to strengthen healthcare for people in the high risk groups with the aim of reducing the number of infection cases and reducing the risk of people in critical condition and deaths. Provincial People's Committee has requested provincial Department of Health, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to urgently mobilize resources to effectively implement the campaign with 6 key activities, including updating the list of people in the high risk groups with Covid-19 to monitor their health; testing to detect people in the high risk groups with Covid-19; strengthening communication on Covid-19 prevention and control; promoting vaccination, ensuring that subjects are not missed; giving treatment for  F0 cases belongs to the risk groups; taking care of and monitoring the health of people in the risk groups and their family members.

Bui Cong Chien, Director of Dau Tieng district’s Health Center said that 12 communes and towns in the district are conducting rapid antigen testing for people at risk from Covid-19 under the reviewed list. Each person will get rapid antigen testing for 2 times every 3 days. The district has also encouraged family members to conduct rapid testing for those at risk from Covid-19. In case of not doing self-testing, the local medical stations, mobile medical stations, and community-based Covid-19 patient care teams will conduct tests for people at risk from Covid-19.

Meanwhile, Huynh Minh Chin, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Health said: "After reviewing the list of F0 cases in the high risk groups, the units will switch them to the network of "Doctors accompanying" for advice. In addition to the care and treatment of F0 cases in the high risk groups, the local medical centers have also urgently persuaded and immediately deployed vaccination for people in the risk group, especially conducted home vaccination for those with disabilities.  It is expected that by the end of January 2022, districts, towns in the province will mobilize 100% of people in the high risk groups for vaccination against Covid-19.

"Under the local strategy of reducing F0 cases, Binh Duong has set up a scenario on the assessment of specific risk for each commune, ward and town, even for each residential quarter, group, and hamlet with the motto of "Where the risk is, meeting it". With drastic solutions, up to now, after nearly 2 months of implementing the strategy, the whole province has had 91 communes, wards and towns divided into 2 levels of the pandemic, down 1 level compared to the first days of implementing the Government’s Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP. Currently, about 70% of administrative units at commune, ward and township levels are at low risk (new normal) and the rest are at medium risk (yellow)”, said Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.
