Di An’s medical center becomes a hospital to treat Covid-19 patients

From July 23, Di An city’s Medical Center stopped receiving patients for examination and treatment of common diseases, officially becoming a hospital to treat Covid-19 patients. Accordingly, all normal medical examination, treatment and emergency activities of the center will be transferred to 3 other hospitals in the city, including Ngoc Hong General Hospital, the Army Corps No.4 Hospital and Nam Anh Hospital.

Doctor Do Viet Hung, Deputy Director of Di An city’s Medical Center said that provincial Department of Health decided to turn the center into a hospital for Covid-19 patients in order to meet the needs of treating patients infected with Covid-19 that is very complicated in the city. The hospital now has 150 beds with function of monitoring and treating Covid-19 patients. In cases of having severe complications, Covid-19 patients at the hospital will be transferred to hospitals at higher level for further treatment.
