The provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and Committee and Fatherland Front Committee yesterday held an early year press get-together with the participation of the provincial People’s Council chairman Vu Minh Sang, reps of agencies and sectors and over 100 journalists from 20 units of central and local press agencies. At the get-together, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Huynh Van Nhi announced 2011 socio-economic situation and expressed thanks to the local press for achievements done in over years.

Nguyen Minh Giao, head of the provincial Education and Propaganda Committee expressed thanks to reporters and press agencies for their promulgation for the local common success. He hoped that press agencies continued to be a spearhead for the local and national common development.

At the ceremony, senior journalists also contributed their ideas to local press cause and hoped that local leaders would support press to offer information timely to readers.

On the occasion, the provincial Journalists’ Society announced 25 hi-quality press works enjoyed expense assistance from the State.
