The district’s Support Fund for Farmers creates favorable conditions for the local farmers to develop production and enrich themselves
Trinh Duc Dung, Chairman of the district’s Farmers ‘Association said that under the instruction of the district’s Party Committee, People’s Committee, the association and its branches over the past time guided members, farmers to focus on fostering models with hi-economic efficiency.
During the 2016-2020 period, the association bent on support activities and services, helping farmers actively rise up out of poverty. The association also mobilized more than VND1.94billion, bringing its Support Fund for Farmers to nearly VND25.1billion, up approximately VND13billion compared to 2015…
From many other resources, the association and its branches also considered and disbursed more than VND31.3billion in loan for 981 households in order to develop 75 projects on cultivation, animal husbandry and services over the past five years.
Loans used effectively
The local farming households have effectively used loans for cultivation and animal husbandry with hi-economic efficiency, contributing to improving their lives, step by step rising up out of poverty and get rich. Over the past five years, the local Farmers ‘Association guided farmers how to use loans from its Support Fund for Farmers to develop collective economic models. The whole association has so far set up 46 groups, including 12 on animal husbandry, 22 on cultivation and 1 on services. Among them, there are 18 groups in effective operation with the annual income of between VND500million and VND1billion, generating jobs with stable income for laborers.
Mr.Dung added that almost members of the association have effectively used loans from the association’s Support Fund for Farmers, helping them rise up out of poverty and enrich themselves. During the past five years, there were hundreds of members, farmers escaping poverty and getting rich; many became typical examples in the emulation movement of “good farmer in production-business”. The district also fostered many effective models, namely the snakeskin gourami, crocodile-breeding model of Phung Van Thuc in Tam Lap commune, the green skin-pomelo planting model of Nguyen Huu Van in Phuoc Hoa commune, the cricket breeding model of Cao Van Doan in An Linh commune, the rock melon-breeding model of Nguyen Van Cuong in An Binh commune…
The duck breeding model under the air-conditioned formula from Vo Quang Dung in Tan Hiep commune’s hamlet 5 is the demonstration of the effectiveness from the local Support Fund for Farmers. Thanks to loans from the fund, he has developed a 300-sq.m air-conditioned facility for duck breeding. Every year, he can raise 5 farrows of ducks with the average profit of between VND100million and VND150million per farrow.
Possibly speaking, the district’s Farmers ‘Association and its branches mobilized all resources, creating the best favorable conditions for farmers to get access to preferential loans for economic development, helping them rise up out of poverty, get rich and make contributions to the local development.
