In the face of a very complicated epidemic situation, over the past time, Thuan An city People's Committee has focused on directing and mobilizing all resources to effectively control and prevent Covid-19 and at the same time continue to remove difficulties and obstacles for enterprises to maintain and develop production and business activities.

Faced with the production situation at enterprises in the city of great difficulties posed by the Covid-19 epidemic and in order to both control the epidemic situation and ensure the health of workers not to disrupt production and business activities, the city People's Committee and other sectors have closely followed the situation and implemented many solutions to support.

Implementing the direction of the provincial People's Committee on the restoration of socio-economic activities in the "new normal" after the time of social distancing, the People's Committee of Thuan An city has issued a document directing the production and business according to the roadmap to ensure safety in production. Accordingly, the city strives to maintain production activities according to the options of "3 on the spot", "1 route, 2 locations" and "3 green" in each phase in accordance with the epidemic situation. As of October 18, in the city, 559 enterprises outside the industrial zone have registered to implement the "3 green" production plan with 62,752 employees.

In order to promote support and remove difficulties and obstacles for individuals, organizations and businesses outside industrial parks and clusters in the city to restore production and business activities, the People's Committee of Thuan An City has issued the decision on the establishment and regulation on coordination of activities of the Supporting Group. Mr. Tran Dinh Minh Phuoc, Head of Economic Division of Thuan An city, said that right after it was established, the Supporting Group helped to remove difficulties and obstacles for individuals, organizations and businesses outside industrial parks and clusters. Businesses in the city have actively approached, captured information, and synthesized difficulties and problems of individuals, organizations and businesses. On such basis, the advisory group of the Chairman of the city People's Committee directed and operated according to its authority; thereby, increasing resources for economic recovery when Thuan An city returns to the "new normal" state. Along with that, the working group supported the monitoring, urging, inspecting and supervising the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic for individuals, organizations and businesses in the process of restoring production and business activities. Up to now, businesses have returned to stable operations, ensuring safety in production.

Enterprises confident to overcome difficulties

Along with the solutions to support and remove difficulties and obstacles of the city authority, after nearly 2 months of restoring production and business, businesses in the city quickly organized reopening with safety in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, and at the same time, boosting production to confidently regain economic growth momentum. Up to now, employees working at businesses in the city have been vaccinated against Covid-19 with the 2nd dose. It is considered one of the convenient facilities in the room to fight Covid-19 epidemic so that businesses can speed up production and ensure growth.

Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Chairman of Trade Union, Head of Technical Department of Showa Gloves Company in VSIP 1 Industrial Park, said that immediately after establishing the "new normal" operating status, the company quickly reorganized production and business activities by implementing 2 production plans of "3 on the spot" and "3 green". In order to maintain production, the work of ensuring safety in Covid-19 prevention and control is carried out more strictly. Specifically, before entering the factory, employees must scan a QR code, then disinfect at an automatic chamber located at the company gate, and automatically measure body temperature. “In addition, the company gives each person VND 200,000 to buy a Covid-19 test kit to do at home before the next test at the company before starting work. Currently, the company has returned to stable operation. To ensure the maintenance of production activities and timely delivery of orders, the company has worked overtime. It is expected that by the end of the year, the company will still achieve its growth target according to the year plan," added Mr. Vu Quoc Huy.

Mr. Ly Ngoc Bach, Director of Cuong Phat Co., Ltd. in Thuan An city, said: "Deploying to restore production and business in the "new normal" state, the company has encountered many difficulties. However, with the advantages that the company has gained from experience, technology, and maintaining long-term customer relationships, the company is now boosting production activities to promptly deliver year-end orders as well as create development premise for the next stage.”

In order to increase revenue and regain sustainable development momentum, the company pays special attention to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic to ensure safety in production. Mr. Majima Toshihiro, General Director of Takako Vietnam Company of VSIP 1 Industrial Park said: “Returning to the "new normal", recovery and development, we have stepped up production, open access to expand the market and to stabilize output. However, in order to maintain sustainability, we actively prevent and control the epidemic by purchasing test kits and organizing tests ourselves under strict disease prevention and control to ensure safe production".

With supportive solutions by promptly removing obstacles and difficulties of local authorities and at the same time the initiative in building business and production plans determined to restore production and achieve the set goals, businesses in the city affirm their flexibility and safe adaptation in the "new normal" state.
